What is the
REPMUS stands for Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping with Maritime Unmanned Systems. It is an annual, large-scale exercise organised by NATO in close collaboration with the Portuguese Navy.
This unique event brings together military forces, academia, and leading technology companies from across the globe to test, develop, and integrate unmanned systems into real-world maritime operations.
Shaping NATO’s

Beyond Vision Demonstrates Advanced UAV Capabilities at REPMUS
Beyond Vision is proud to return to REPMUS in 2025, building on the momentum of past involvement and continuing to support NATO’s strategic goals for unmanned systems.
REPMUS offers a unique opportunity to validate new capabilities, forge international partnerships, and operate in highly realistic, multi-domain environments. We value our participation not only as a chance to test our platforms but also to contribute meaningfully to the evolution of defence operations through innovation and collaboration.
Key activities included:
- Anti-jamming Communications: Successfully tested in GNSS-denied environments
- ISR Operations: Delivered real-time surveillance in maritime and coastal zones
- Swarm Operations: Demonstrated coordination of multiple UAVs in autonomous, collaborative missions
These exercises were pivotal in proving the operational reliability of our platforms and laid the groundwork for the deeper integration planned in 2025.

What to Expect from
In REPMUS 2025, Beyond Vision is transitioning from tactical demonstrations to full operational integration within NATO-led scenarios. Our role this year is broader, more strategic, and embedded directly into mission execution, as our UAVs will contribute to:
- Target acquisition and fire correction
- Deployment of simulated explosives
- Aerial resupply over sea and land
We’re debuting our new Portable Ground Control Station, enabling mobile, protected, and decentralised command of UAVs and C4ISR systems. Through our unmanned systems, we’ll support critical missions such as surveillance of amphibious landings, detection of submarines and underwater mines, and ISR during naval boarding operations and beachhead securing. We will also work alongside the Portuguese Navy’s elite Unidade X31 in complex multi-domain operations, from maritime ISR to tactical insertion and threat response.

Beyond Vision drones will feature a diverse set of integrated systems, including:
- ISR electro-optical cameras
- Magnetic Anomaly Detection (MAD) in partnership with IAI ELTA Group
- Payload droppers for sonar buoys and simulated explosive devices
- Communication relay nodes and long-range tactical radios
We are also bringing our new First-Person View (FPV) drones to the field and deploying them for:
- Building entry and room clearing
- Hostile detection
- Coordination with Special Operations Forces (SOF) units
Together, these elements underscore our evolution from a technology provider to a fully integrated operational contributor in NATO-led missions.

Beyond Vision Showcases
VTOne (BVT516)
Our flagship VTOL fixed-wing drone combines the endurance of a fixed-wing aircraft with the operational flexibility of vertical take-off and landing. Designed for long-range ISR, VTOne can adapt to both maritime and land-based operations.
BVQ418
A portable and smart quadcopter optimised for rapid-response missions. BVQ418 is deal for operations requiring agility, quick deployment, and stable performance in challenging environments.
BV407 - New Beyond Vision FPV Drone (Coming Soon)
Engineered for First-Person View (FPV) operations, this new platform will support urban warfare and close-quarters battle scenarios. Its design prioritises speed, manoeuvrability, and real-time situational awareness, enabling operators to safely assess and respond to threats inside buildings or confined areas.
New Portable Ground Control Station (Coming Soon)
While traditional Ground Control Stations involve large, static setups with multiple computers, joysticks, and controllers, our upcoming portable GCS will compress this capability into a single, controller-like device. Featuring beXStream connectivity and an integrated operating system, it will allow operators to manage UAVs and mission payloads efficiently from virtually anywhere.

Una demostración del extraordinario potencial que se despliega cuando la innovación y la colaboración se fusionan a la perfección en el sector marítimo.
Resumen
REPMUS 2025 represents the next phase in Beyond Vision’s journey within the world of defence innovation.
After proving the capabilities of our UAV systems in 2024, we return this year with deeper integration, new technology partnerships, and a stronger operational role.
From coastal ISR and amphibious support to urban warfare and joint force simulations, our solutions are designed to meet the evolving challenges of NATO operations. REPMUS turns defence innovation into mission reality, and we’re proud to be part of that transformation.
