The current disparity in technological advancement between urban and rural regions is a pertinent issue. IoT and data analytics have primarily favored urban areas due to connectivity limitations in rural locations. The REMARKABLE project is a collaborative effort involving European academic partners, companies, and academic groups from Africa, all working to tackle this problem.
