We are seeking a highly talented and motivated Robotics Software Engineer to join our team in Porto. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science, with a focus on software development for robotic systems. Experience with TypeScript, NodeJS, and Angular is highly desirable, as you will mainly develop software for our Ground Control System (GCS) and our Mobile App (Remote Controller).

NB: Due to the nature of the role, only applicants eligible to work full-time in our location will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize software solutions for our UAVs’ Command and Control. Integrate assets into our GCS and Mobile App. Collaborate with our team of engineers to continually enhance our products. Conduct software development, testing and debugging to ensure quality and performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Collaborate closely with the software team on various technical projects and initiatives tailored to drone technology.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the design and development of new features for our drone technology platforms.
• Maintain communication with team members and external partners, ensuring a positive and productive experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field. 5 years of Experience. Proficiency in TypeScript, with experience in NodeJS and Angular preferred. Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) is a plus. Ability to work both independently and in a team. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., GitLab, GitHub).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proactive mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Interest in drone technology is preferred.
